Additional Agency Access

Background

When users are given access to HMIS, they are set-up with a Primary Agency. This is the agency that the user is employed or otherwise associated with. Likewise, projects are set-up at the agency that is receiving funds for the project, or is otherwise responsible for the project. In some cases users need access to projects at agencies that are different from their Primary Agency. Some examples of this are users that need access to the Coordinated Entry System, or users at agencies that are sub-recipients for grants managed by another agency. To be given access to an additional agency, the agency that manages the project the user needs access to must submit the HMIS Account Update & Testing Form to request access for that user. Once the user has been given access, follow the steps below to switch between agencies in HMIS.

 

Instructions

  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to the agency field in the upper right corner. When the user first logs in this dropdown defaults to the Primary Agency.
  2. Click the name of the agency the user needs to enter data or run reports for.
